Patricia "Pat" Haberman

Patricia Haberman, 81, of La Junta, passed away Dec. 22, 2011, in California.  She was born to Adam & Josephine (Reesel) Matern on June 17, 1930 in La Junta, Colorado. Patricia married Charles J. Haberman on November 20, 1948 in La Junta; he preceded her in death on February 8, 2002.

Patricia worked with the Public Defender’s Office for 40 years and was very active with Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish.

She is survived by her children, Father Robert Haberman of San Rafael, California, Ed (Sandy) Haberman of La Junta, Joanne (Jim) Williams of Ordway, Mary Lou (Mike) Day of La Junta, John (Dawn) Haberman of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Mike (Sandi) Haberman of La Junta; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Bud Matern and two grandsons.

Graveside services will be Friday, December 30, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.Memorial mass will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Robert Haberman San Rafael, California officiating.



In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice direct or through the funeral home.
