Paul Curtis Taylor

June 25, 1950 — July 28, 2016

Paul Curtis Taylor, 66, passed away on July 28, 2016 at his La Junta home. He was born on June 26, 1950 in Everett, Massachusetts to Vaughn W. & Dorothy A. (Nagel) Taylor.

Paul graduated high school in 1968 and attended Kent State in 1969 where he studied Art and where his passion for pottery grew. He also had a Masters degree in science and nursing. He spent several years in Greece. In his later years he moved to Ohio but later joined his brother in Colorado where he made La Junta his home. Paul spent many years devoting his time to work and going to school. He also taught pottery classes and was a mental health provider. Paul was very helpful and caring and will be truly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle of the La Junta home; children, Paul (Kim) Riemer of Ohio; Adam Taylor of Sydney, Australia; Mat Taylor of Pueblo; Elizabeth Taylor of La Junta; Coral Losey of La Junta; brothers, Alan (Sandy) Taylor of Raleigh, NC; John (Joan) Taylor of Falls Church, VA; grandchildren, Isabella Amy Taylor and Olive Marie Whatley. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Paul Taylor Angel fund, c/o Krugman Small Animal Clinic, 502 East 1st Street, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the funeral home.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
