Paul J. Whatley

Paul J. Whatley, 86, of La Junta, passed away November 21, 2009, at the Spanish Peaks Regional Health Care Center in Walsenburg. Per his request cremation has taken place and there will be no services.

Paul was born on January 25, 1923, in La Junta, Colorado to Robert & Faustina (Martinez) Whatley. He married Emma Caponera on July 18, 1944 in Raton, New Mexico; she preceded him in death on December 16, 2000.
He served in the Army during WWII in the European Theater of Operation.

Paul is survived by his sister, Hazel (Javier) Luna of Pueblo; brother, Sam (Cleo) Whatley of Pueblo; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews & cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.
