Pedro G. Torrez

Pedro G. Torrez, 62, of La Junta passed away on December 11, 2020 at the Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was born on February 26, 1958 in La Junta to Miguel Villa & Rosa (Guerrero) Torrez.

He worked for the Veterans Administration for approximately 40 years. He was known by many and very humble. He never allowed anybody to go without. He was very supportive to his son, Michael, as he coached and enjoyed supporting his granddaughters in their sports. The best father we could ask for. He started his food truck business Torrez Empire and enjoyed his many events he attended. Pedro was an avid booster club member at La Junta High School. He was a family first man and a friend to many.

He is survived by his children, Michael Torrez and Tara Torrez; grandchildren, Dominique Gregory and Daelynn Gregory; brothers, Alvino Torrez, Blas Torrez and Joe Torrez; sisters, Lydia Torrez and Catalina Harris Torrez; nephews, Mathew Torrez, Eli Torrez and Quincy Harris; nieces, Kerri Torrez Britton, Whitney Blackwood, Chaka Harris and Sarah Torrez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike & Rosie Torrez; brothers, Eddie Torrez, Gilbert Torrez and Tim Torrez.

A graveside committal will be Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
