Peggy J. Gearhart

Peggy J. Gearhart, 73, passed away on Wednesday, February 25th at her Swink home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Swink Methodist Church with Reverend Tom Dudley officiating. Internment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
She was born on September 18, 1935 in Swink, Colorado to Ralph & Frances (Adcock) Kenagy. She married David Gearhart on April 3, 1955 at the Swink Methodist Church.
Peggy graduated from Swink High School class of 1954 and was the valedictorian. Peggy was a homemaker. She also was a member of the Swink United Methodist Women and the Swink Alumni Committee. She also enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, traveling, entertaining, and going to church and community involvement and activities.
She is survived by her husband, David of the Swink home; children, Deanna & Michael Scheffe of Phoenix, AZ; Randy & Laurie Gearhart of Peyton, CO; sister, Patti & Dave Zimmerman of Gunsight, ID; grandchildren, Craig & Stacie Weitzel, Chris &Ricole Scheffe; Karen Scheffe; Matt Scheffe all of Phoenix, AZ; one great-grandchild on the way.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Frances Kenagy.
