Peggy Joan Deihl, 81, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 19, 1930 in Gunnison, Colorado to Pearl & Mamie (Welch) Walker. She married George L. Deihl on January 30, 1950 in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Peggy grew up in Delta, Colorado. She was a member of the Soul’s Harbor Assembly of God Church in Independence, Missouri. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Peggy is survived by her husband, George of the La Junta home; sons, George (Beverly) Deihl, IV of Garden City, KS; James (Becky) Deihl of La Junta; Jerry Deihl of La Junta and Christopher (Sherrie) Deihl of Garden City, KS; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl & Mamie Walker, son, Earl Deihl, and two sisters and one brother.
Graveside service will be Friday, September 7, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery with her grandson Reverend George Deihl of the Landmark Baptist Church in Grand Junction, Colorado officiating. Visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
