Rebecca Ballard

Rebecca Ballard, 59, passed away on March 8, 2019 at her Rocky Ford, CO home. She was born on June 12, 1959 in Pueblo, Colorado to Arthur & Mabel (Baker) Garcia.

Rebecca graduated from County High School in 1977; she received her cosmetology license while in high school. She was a stay at home mother and Pastor's wife for 20 years, while doing cosmetology in home to provide for her family. In later years she also worked in many nursing facilities in food service. Rebecca was an active member of the Cornerstone Country Church in Rocky Ford. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Richard Ballard, Sr., of Rocky Ford, CO; children, Crystal (Brian) Bard of Lincoln, NE, Richard (Jenna) Ballard, Jr. of Fowler, CO, Jeremiah (Stephanie) Ballard of Carthage, NC and Erin (Philip) New of Waxhaw, NC; siblings, Ellen (Pete) Miraldi of Arizona, Rose Pike of Pueblo, Donna Hamm of Pueblo, Art (Cathy) Garcia of Pueblo and Karen (Dale) Cruz of Texas; grandchildren, Jacob Bard, Tyler Bard, Jonah Bard, Brock Bard, Jedadiah Ballard, Titus Ballard, Noah Ballard, Hallie Ballard, Shaden New, Hartlee New and Landon New. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Mabel Garcia, and her sister, Lauri Salmon.

Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Cornerstone Country Church. Interment will follow the service at Fowler Cemetery.
