Rebecca Julia Lail

Rebecca Julia (Torrez) Lail, 53, passed away on August 30, 2016 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center in La Junta. She was born on May 23, 1963 in La Junta to Alvaro J. and Estella R. (Chavez) Torrez. She married Bill Lail of Texas on August 10, 1983 in Pagosa Springs.

She attended La Junta schools. Becky loved being around her family, loved to cook, travel with her husband, go fishing, camping, living life to the fullest. Becky was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and a good supporter. She loved life and she was always happy and loved her special service dog “Taz.” She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Becky is survived by her mother, Stella of La Junta; husband, Bill of the La Junta home;
Siblings, Tony (Susan) Torrez, Robert, Martin, Kathy, Christine, and Henry Viapondo, Steve and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvaro Torrez; sister, Patsy Torrez; brothers, Henry and Alfred Torrez.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. both services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Matthew Wertin officiating. Inurnment will be follow at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
