Richard James "Rj" Dillingham

Richard James Morgan “RJ” Dillingham passed away May 31, 2011.  RJ was born to Gidget (Inskeep) and Bill Dillingham on May 5, 1990 in La Junta, Colorado.  RJ graduated from Swink High School in 2008 and was a member of the Valley Community Church in Swink. After graduation RJ remained in the Arkansas Valley working odd jobs, but his favorites were doing ranch hand work on local farms. 

RJ enjoyed fishing, cars, and wild horse racing.  He was a member of the Professional Wild Horse Racers Inc, team K3K.  He also enjoyed his many friends and spending time with them and his family.  He was quite a talented artist as well as sculptor of metal. 

He is survived by his parents, Bill & Gidget of Montrose; brother Cpl. Miles Alexander Dillingham, US Marine Corp; sisters, Jessica Eileen (Matt) Breuer of Greeley, and Casey LeAnn Dillingham of Grand Junction; Great-Grandmother, Irene Sinks of La Junta, Grand-parents James and Jackie Dillingham of Fowler, Buddy and Sheri Spradley of Tennessee; Georgiana Inskeep of Pueblo West; several great-aunts, great-uncles, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Hollis & Mildred Dillingham; maternal great-grandfather, Gilbert Sinks; and his grandfather, Tom Inskeep. 

Memorial Services will be held Saturday June 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM, Valley Community Church, Hwy 50 between Swink & Rocky Ford. 

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the RJ Dillingham Memorial Fund at the Academy Bank.
