Rita Martinez, 63, of Pueblo, passed away on Dec. 17, 2012 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo. She was born in La Junta, Colorado to Victor Jose & Delubina (Garcia) DeHerrera on August 17, 1949. She married Albert Martinez, Sr.

Rita is survived by her husband, Albert Martinez, Sr.; children, Della (Jose) Cornejo, Albert (Paula) Martinez, Jr., Jose (Ruby) Martinez, Lupe  Martinez, Angel Martinez; sisters,  Mary Jiron and Carol (Mickey) Grado; brothers,  Nash DeHererra, Philbert (Enriqueta) DeHererra; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.



Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tony Garcia officiating of the Full Gospel Christian Assembly Church in Pueblo. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta. Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
