Robert F. Hoffman

Robert “Bob” Hoffman, age 82, of Fowler, Colorado went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, December 20th, 2020.

Bob Hoffman was born on May 6th, 1938 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Molly (Amalia) Hoffman (nee Diel) and Fred Hoffman. He graduated in 1956 from Crowley High School and then later graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Adam’s State College. He went on to operate a farm and ranch. He loved working on the land and ran farms successfully for over 40 years in Bent and Crowley Counties. He enjoyed hiking in the mountains, playing card games and checkers with his daughters, collecting arrowheads and gemstones, and playing the guitar and singing in church. He was also a gifted artist. During his last conversation with family, he sang some of his favorite “oldies” and praise songs.

He is preceded in death by his mother Molly, father Fred, and his two sisters Ann (Evangeline) Hunt and Betty (Beatrice) Cozadd. He is survived by his son Kent Hoffman and daughters Judy and family, Christy Fuller and husband Ray Fuller, Meg Thomas, Cynthia Hoffman, and Rosie Talley and husband Paul Talley; his grandchildren Andrew and Gus Fuller, Cheyenne, Rhiannon, and Alexandria Thomas, James, Isaiah, Vega, and Anthony Gonzales, and Áine Talley; and his sister Ann’s children Randy Hunt and wife Bobbi Hunt, Lyn Bruton and wife Kimee Bruton, Veronika Morin, and Florence Pulford and husband Carl Pulford, and sister Betty’s children Duane Cozadd and wife Ruth Cozadd, Diane Cozadd, and Dede Cozadd—as well as children and grandchildren.

Bob will be remembered by loved ones as being a kind soul with a big heart and an infectious smile.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rocky Ford Cemetery with Rev. Janeen Hill of the Fowler United Methodist Church officiating.
