Robert Paul Villegas

Robert Paul Villegas, 54, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 at his La Junta home. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 2 p.m. at the Victory Chapel at 2nd & Smithland in La Junta with Pastor Leonard Oliva of the Victory Chapel in Pueblo officiating. Private Interment will be held at the Ft. Lyon National Cemetery.
Robert was born on April 7, 1955 in Pueblo, Colorado to Ignacio & Rose (Martinez) Villegas.
He lived to preach the word of God, “to win the lost”. He was a friend to all and knew no strangers.
Robert is survived by his wife Dolores of the La Junta home; daughters, Carla Mendoza of La Junta; Roxanne (Jesse) Harrington of La Junta; grandchildren, Carlos, Isaiah, Amara, Junior, Haven, and Zion; father, Ignacio (Marie) Villegas of Pueblo; mother-in-law, Flossie Ramirez of Pueblo; brother, Dave (Karen) Villegas of Pueblo; sister, Jeanie (Ken) Smith of Pueblo; sister, Mary Ann (Robert) Sanchez of Pueblo; other siblings, Geno, Gilbert, Pablo, Rick, Cindy, Beatrice, and Beverly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Martinez; father-in-law, Carlos O. Ramirez; brother, Alex; brother-in-law, LeRoy Arellano.
