Robert Walter Mcentyre

September 18, 1953 — November 4, 2019

Robert Walter McEntyre, 66, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at his Rocky Ford home.

Bob was born to Clarence & Florence (Osborn) McEntyre in Charleston, West Virginia, on September 18, 1953 and was the middle child of seven children. Bob grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a football star for Beechwood High School.

Bob worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Customer Service Specialist; as well as spending much of his life at home taking care of the home and family and beloved dogs and cats. He was a life-long Democrat and advocate for the average guy! A perfectionist and hard worker, a “dishwasher!” and always having the best yard on the block! He loved strong coffee, good music, and high-school, college, and professional football. He and his wife loved living in Colorado and taking drives and camping trips in the mountains. He loved to converse with everyone and would could often be found sharing good stories and some fiery, passionate opinions. His family will miss most his great sense of humor, his impromptu songs, his wise sayings about life that he passed on, and his deep love and care that he had showed for his wife, kids, and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Carol McEntyre of the Rocky ford home; daughter, Heather McEntyre of Florence, KY; two grandchildren, Jordan and Madyson Moran also of Florence, KY; son, Ian (Haley) McEntyre, of Denver; three grandchildren, Emma, Roman, and Liam McEntyre also of Denver.

Bob will always be remembered as the best friend, supporter, and love to his wife, the best friend and “rock” to his daughter, the greatest coach and fan of his son, and the sweetest and most loving grandfather to his grandkids!

As per Bob’s request cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.

Online condolences may be made at www.PeacockFH.com. Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home and Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
