Rodney L. Lundahl

March 1, 1957 — January 30, 2009

Rodney L. Lundahl, affectionately known as “Gumby” by his family and friends, 51, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at his La Junta home. Memorial service will be Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Patrick Marrone officiating.
Rodney was born in Colorado Springs, on March 1, 1957, to Bill & Arlene (Burris) Lundahl.
Rodney served in the United States Marines. He worked as a welder for over twenty years in oil fields and at a specialty iron shop in Colorado Springs. Seventeen of the years he worked as a welding instructor for the Trane Corporation. Recently Rodney has been a councilor at the Colorado Boys Ranch. He was an avid elk hunter and fisherman.
Rodney is survived by his mother, Arlene of Swink; daughters, Erin Courtney & April Elizabeth Lundahl of Canon City; brother, Jay (Sandy) Lundahl of Pueblo; sister, Sheryl (Mike) Cook of Pueblo West; nieces & nephews, Jason, Amy & Audrey Lundahl, and Kimberly & Jamie Cook.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill and his nephew Jeffrey Michael Cook.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
