Roy M. Reed

Roy M. Reed, 69, passed away Monday, March 1st at his La Junta home. He was born on February 19, 1941 in La Junta, Colorado to the late George & Mary Reed.

Roy Reed built adobe for Bent’s Fort and ran a construction company for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Reed; his brothers, George Reed and Cisco (Vivian) Reed; sons, Rick Reed of Pueblo; Gary (Robin) Reed of Rocky Ford; and John (Lindsey) Reed of La Junta; six grandchildren, Amanda, Zack, Jesse, Josh, Katelin, and Mark. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Mary Reed and his son, Jeff.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 3rd at 2:00 p.m., at the Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Maynard Bowman of Prairie Bible Chapel officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 2nd from 3 to 5 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel and Wednesday, March 3rd from 9 a.m. to noon. 

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
