Sally R. Fagan

Sally R. Fagan, 79, passed away Dec. 2, 2009 at her Rocky Ford home. Funeral services will be Monday, December 7, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Brian Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Sally was born on June 12, 1930 to Bob & Winnie (McNutt) Pennington in Manzanola, Colorado. She married Veryl Fagan on January 22, 1954 in Ordway, Colorado.

She graduated from Manzanola High School in 1948. She worked for Mountain States Bell Telephone Company from 1948 until she retired in 1983. She was a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Sally loved to spend time with her family; children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed. 

She is survived by her husband Veryl Fagan of the Rocky Ford home; son, Gary (Geri) Fagan of Gypsum, CO; daughters, Cindy (Jerry) Lambert of La Junta and Judy (Denton) Smith of Widefield, CO; sister-in-law, Martha Pennington of Pueblo; grandchildren, Kyle Fagan, Kimberly Fagan, Jason Fagan, Damion (Carin) McElroy, Nikki (Tony) Turner, Adam (Beverly) McElroy, Dustin Olmstead, and Brandon Olmstead; great-grandchildren, Cayleen, Sydney, David, Mackenzie, Morgann, Abby and Riley.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters and a great-granddaughter.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
