Sheila Kay Rhodes

Sheila Kay Rhodes, 50, of Swink, passed away on Thursday, May 28th at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd at 1 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel, with Gary Rhodes officiating. Inurnment will take place with a private service at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
She was born on January 4, 1959, in El Centro, California, the daughter of Robert D. & Barbara Jo “Bobbie Jo” (Ritter) Clason. She attended school in La Junta and Rocky Ford, Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs, and graduating from El Dorado High school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1977. After high School she enrolled in International Beauty Academy in Colorado Springs, graduating in 1978. She worked in that industry throughout her adult life until her retirement due to health conditions in January 2009. She married Lawrence Jay Rhodes on December 27, 1991.
She is survived by her husband, her daughters Ashley (Senech) Fletcher, Kara King-Rhodes and her fiancée Manuel Jurado; grandsons Kameron King-Rhodes, Gage Fletcher, and Riley Fletcher; three sisters, two brothers, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.She is preceded in death by her parents, paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, in-laws, cousin, and numerous aunts and uncles.
