Shirley Ann Ehrlich

June 27, 1934 — December 9, 2016

Shirley Ann (Jones) Ehrlich, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9th, 2016, at her Manzanola home surrounded by her loving family and special dog/daughter Sally.
She was born on June 27, 1934, in Denver, CO. Her parents were Boyd Dosson & Ruth Ellen (Robbins) Jones. She married Albert Edward Ehrlich on January 20, 1952 of Fort Bent, CO, in Raton, NM; he preceded her in death on April 8, 2008.

Shirley attended schools in Las Animas and La Junta. She worked in Rocky Ford at Valley Soopers Grocery store, Hancock Agency, Van Dyk Insurance, and Wal-Mart stores in La Junta.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in La Junta. She was a very friendly lady who loved people and made many new friends while working in the valley and especially as a greeter at Wal-Mart which, she thoroughly enjoyed for many years.

Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor and was a very loving Mom and Grandma, who would do anything for her family. She was a feisty little gal with a contagious smile, who will be missed greatly.

Shirley is survived by her four children, Edward (Betty) Ehrlich of Rocky Ford; Patricia (Kenny) Mills of Manzanola; Russell Ehrlich of Cheraw, and Linda (Leon) Leonard of Ordway; grandchildren, Brett (Amanda) Mills, Alisha (Crispin) Miell, Ryan Ehrlich, Shanna (Zane Leonard) Yochum, Scott (Amanda) Ehrlich, Adam (Hollie) Mills, Kristen (Yancy) Birch, Andrew Mills and Jeremy Miller; great-grandchildren, Crislyn, Adisyn, Brilyn, Xaden, Axton, Taci, Walker and Millie. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Funeral service will be Friday, December 16, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Rick Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Arkansas Valley Hospice, PO Box, 408, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the funeral home.
