Thelma R. Kloss

Thelma Rose Kloss, 88, of La Junta passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 5, 1922, in Welsh, Louisiana to Alexander & Florence Bourgeois.
Thelma has lived in La Junta since 1961. After retiring in 1973 from her career as a licensed beautician, she has enjoyed her years traveling and baking for friends and neighbors, as well as spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Ben) Bravo and Katherine (Joe) Lay both of La Junta; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander & Florence Bourgeois, husband, three brothers, one sister, daughter and grandson.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 30, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., both services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Paul Ekeh officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Peacock Memorial Chapel. Internment will be at the Le Bleu Cemetery in Fenton, Louisiana.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Arkansas Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 408, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the funeral home.
