Violet Gee Hood

Violet Gee Hood, died on July 31, 2018 at the Crowley County Nursing Center, she was 94 years old. Violet was born in Delhi, CO in 1923. Violet was preceded in death by her mother, Mada Johnson Gee and her father, Charlie Gee, husband, William G. Hood, brothers Gerald & Charlie Gee and sisters, Margaret Roberts & Josephine Davis. She lost her daughter, Wanda Gandarilla to cancer in 2009.

She is survived by her sister, Katherine Harless of Ordway; daughters, Margaret (Bob) Durante of La Junta and Ruth (Mike) Pentecost of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Stephanie Durante of London, England; Todd Durante of Phoenix, AZ; Gabrielle (Colin) Clingan of Phoenix, AZ; Ana Gandarilla of Phoenix, AZ; Alexis Gandarilla of Portland, OR and Charles Gandarilla of Phoenix, AZ; great-grandchildren, Chayse & Sloan Clingan and Violet Gandarilla. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Violet will be greatly missed by family and friends. Her family wants to thank everyone for their love and good wishes.

Services to be held Monday, August 6, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Rocky Ford Church of the Nazarene with Pastor John Dell of the First Christian Church officiating.
