Walter L. Glasco

Walter Lee Glasco, 95, passed away on Wednesday, February 25th at his La Junta home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ed Kite of the Rocky Ford Church of the Nazarene officiating. Internment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
Walter was born on December 12, 1913 in Bigelow, Arkansas to Walter E. & Mamie L. (Hamilton) Glasco. He owned and operated the Swink Builder Supply Company for many years.
Walter is survived by his wife, Betty of the La Junta home; daughter, Carol Young of Ontario, CA; sister, Wilma White of Little Rock, AR; brother, Rex Glasco of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Bunny Jones of Lumberston, NJ; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. & Mamie L. Glasco; first wife, Ruby Glasco on Sept. 9, 2002; daughter, Marilee Glasco.
