Wilma Mae Cline

Wilma Mae Cline, 81, passed away on July 11, 2021 at her Rocky Ford home. She was born on March 20, 1940 in Perryton, Texas to Ben & Lillie (Black) Evans.

Mae was a member of the Eastern Star and Church of God. She was a waitress at El Capitan and Peggy’s. She owned her own salon, Mae’s Hair Country in La Junta. She enjoyed westerns especially Gunsmoke. She loved spending time with her best friend, Bodine. She loved playing Marbles with her family and cruising the country roads and traveling to Marble, CO to visit her special friends, John & Kathy McKay. She will be forever loved and missed.

She is survived by her children, Ramonia Trout of Aztec, NM; Kim Karle of Rocky Ford; Casey (Liz) Cline of Haswell; brother, Butch (Phyllis) Evans of Albuquerque, NM; son-in-law, Randy Leonard of Rocky Ford; adopted kids, Freda & Cippy Villa; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth Cline; daughter, Windy Leonard; brother, George Tice; grandchildren, Aaron Cline and Ashley Dickerson.

As per Mae’s request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
