Winford C. Bean

Winford C. Bean, 78, of Trinidad, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Joni Fair Hospice House in Pueblo. He was born on December 7, 1932 in Villagreen, Colorado to Jim Charles & Pearl (Carter) Bean. He married Doris D. Caler in Texarkana, Arkansas in 1956; she preceded him in death on June 9, 1988.

Winford served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his children, David Bean, Carol L. Booten, and Jo Ann Friedenberger; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeremiah) Edwards and Lindsey Garrett; great-grandchildren, Bailee & Maizee Garrett; and special friend, Carroll Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Jimmy C. Bean and sister, Alice Bean.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 4, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kim Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Kim Cemetery.
