Yolanda A. Ojeda

Yolanda A. Ojeda, 54, of La Junta passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO. She was born on February 4, 1956 in La Junta, Colorado to Gabriel & Mary Rita (Mascarenas) Fernandez, Sr. She married Louis Ojeda, Sr. in La Junta in 1975.
Yolanda worked for 21 years with the South East Mental Health. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Louis, Sr. of the La Junta home; children, Kristy Ojeda, Rita (Ruben Whatley, Jr.) Ojeda, Louis (Jessica Peck) Ojeda, Jr. all of La Junta; grandchildren, Matthew Ojeda, Gabrielle Ojeda, and Mia Whatley; brother, Gabe Fernandez, Jr. of La Junta; sister, Patty (Rick Chavez) Fernandez of Denver; nieces & nephews, Nicholas, Amber, Chelsea, and Gabe, III.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents, Gabe & Mary Rita Fernandez, Sr.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass will follow at, 10:00 a.m., both services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Alphonsus Ihuoma officiating.
