Andrew Gallegos, 48, of La Junta, Colorado passed away December 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born October 4, 1977 in Stuttgart, Germany to Josph Gallegos & Yvonne DeHerrera.
A dedicated truck driver, Anthony traversed countless miles with a commitment to his work that exemplified his reliable and caring nature. He enjoyed the open roads and all the places he was able to travel to.
Andrew also proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Rodney M. Davis. His military service is a testament to his character and sense of duty, shaping him into the strong and outgoing individual that many admired and loved.
Outside of work and service, Andrew had a wide array of interests that defined his vibrant personality. He was huge fan of the Denver Broncos, never missing an opportunity to cheer for his team. His love of travel took him to new places, where he created cherished memories and formed lasting friendships. Furthermore, Andrew had a passion for collecting Jack Daniels and memorabilia, showcasing his unique tastes and the joy that he found in the little things.
Above all, Andrew cherished the time spent with his family. These moments were the foundation of his happiness and the true essence of who he was. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unwavering support. Although he is no longer with us, Andrew will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his generous heart, and the countless joyous moments he shared with family and friends. His memory will continue to uplift all who knew him.
Andrew is survived by his siblings, Nicole (Bobby) Domingue of Alabama; Jolene Romero of Alabama; Joseph (Anita) Roybal of La Junta, CO; Jessie (Jessica) Carrillo of La Junta, CO; & Michael Romero, Jr. of Rocky Ford, CO; Dad, Michael Romero of Rocky Ford, CO; 9 aunts, 6 uncles, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Gallegos & mother, Yvonne DeHerrera; brother Jody Gallegos; grandmothers, Josephine DeHerrea & Rosemary Romero.
Memorial Service for Andrew will be held in the spring of 2026.
