Anthony Allen Dowdy

Anthony Allen Dowdy, 27, of Swink passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at his home. Memorial service will be Wednesday, January 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the Living Way Church with Reverend Calvin Kennedy officiating.

Anthony was born on November 3, 1982 in La Junta, Colorado to George Russell & Virginia Diane (Higbee) Dowdy, Jr.

Anthony was well loved and adored by many. He was a traveler. He saw and experienced many things in his short lived life that most of us only dream of. His passion was in his music. He was a poet, musician, singer, and songwriter. He enjoyed his career as a chef. Anthony was truly a free spirit. Before his passing he had found peace in our Lord.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Virginia Cordova; step-father, David Cordova; sister, Barbara Rice; brother, George Russell Dowdy, III; nieces & nephews, Nikolas, Kyler, Chad, Kody, Mia, Kevin, Diana; step-brothers, Kyle & Chris Cordova; grandmother, Bonnie Higbee; also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, George Russell Dowdy, Jr.; brother, Anthony Wayne Dowdy; grandfather, George Russell Dowdy, Sr.; grandfather, Wayne Higbee, grandmother, Barbara Dowdy.
