Arthur E. Gutierrez, Sr.

Arthur E. Gutierrez, Sr., 85, of La Junta, Colorado passed away Friday, February 27, 2026 at his La Junta home. He was born Monday, June 17, 1940 in Rowe, New Mexico to Antonio & Donaciana (Gallegos) Gutierrez.

Arthur is survived by his children, Lorraine Gutierrez of La Junta, CO; Arthur Gutierrez, Jr. of La Junta, CO; & Robert (Jeanette) Gutierrez of Colorado Springs, CO; siblings, Abe Gutierrez, Marcella Tapia, & Salvador (Lupe) Gutierrez all of La Junta, CO; 20 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alma Gutierrez; children, Carlos Gutierrez, & Sonya Gutierrez; his parents, Antonio & Donaciana Gutierrez 5 brothers & 2 sisters.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta with Craig Ortega of Full Gospel Church of Rocky Ford officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
