Bessie Mae Lantz

Bessie M. Lantz, 81, of La Junta, Colorado, formerly of Sugar City, passed away on April 21, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on September 4, 1944, to Vernon and Mabel (Wilson) Kenley.

Bessie is survived by her husband, Owen Lantz; daughters, Paula Mahoney and Kim Morlan; grandchildren, Sarah Mahoney, Dillan Morlan, Coleton Morlan, Sammi (Nick) Mahoney- Pankratz; sisters, Cora (Stan) Krol and Valerie Kenley-Bablitz; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family also survive. Bessie is preceded in death by her son, Kevin Lantz; parents, Vernon and Mabel Kenley; brother, Joe Hobbick; three brothers and two sisters and cousin, Mabel Britton.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at East Holbrook Mennonite with David Sload officiating.
