Carl Lee Buford

Carl Lee Buford, 93, of Ordway, Colorado passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Rocky Ford, Colorado. Carl was born in Lovelady, Texas on July 8, 1932, to John and Emily May (Murphy) Buford.

He married his wife of 69 years, Wyncie Dell (Mims) Buford on January 1, 1951, in Crockett, TX. They had three children together and raised their family in Crockett, Texas where Carl ran numerous businesses. Carl and Wyncie moved to Colorado in 1988 after retirement to be closer to family.

Carl is survived by his sons Phillip (Mary Jean) Buford of Ordway, CO; Jerry Bob (Dianne) Buford of Ordway, CO; and Carl Dean (Linda) Buford of Pensacola, FL; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Wyncie Dell Buford and his parents John and Emily Mae Buford; two sisters & two brothers.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at River of Life Fellowship in Ordway, Colorado with Pastor Jeb Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Ordway. Pallbearers will be Cannon Buford, Cole Buford, Case Buford, Tel Buford, Dillon Buford and Graydon Buford. Honorary pall bearers will be Derreck Buford and Zachary Miller.
