Charles Williams, known by many as Chuckles, Chuck and Carlito passed away Jan. 19, 2011 in Colorado Springs. He was born December 16, 1981, in Rocky Ford.
Survived by his mom and dad, Susan Williams-Torrez and Tony Torrez of Rocky Ford; son, Isaiah; aunts and uncles, Randy and Audie Williams of Texas, Katherine Williams of Florida; Brothers and sisters, Jesse R. Sanchez, Viola Sanchez, Michael Espinoza, LaDonna Espinoza, Krystal Torrez, Tony Torrez, Jr., Adam Apodaca, Alexandra Apodaca and Angelina Apodaca.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandma Hinia Williams, Grandpa, Vive Guerra, and Uncle Leonard “Oso” Williams.
Charles loved the Oakland Raiders, tattoos, music, family, friends, and most of all being a loving, caring, and dedicated father to his son, Isaiah. Charles was known for his big heart and frequent visits with his family and friends with Isaiah by his side. Charles always kept busy and even worked three jobs at once, including the Pueblo steel mill until he became disabled. Charles was a great cook and even enjoyed doing dishes afterwards with a smile on his face.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be this evening, Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., both services at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rocky Ford with Father Don Malin officiating. Visitation will be today, Monday, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home.
