Charles Richard Klein, 73, of Rocky Ford, CO passed away Tuesday April 16, 2024 at his Rocky Ford home. He was born Sunday, July 2, 1950 in Logan, UT to Lewis, Jr. & Doris (Ehlers) Klein.


Charles held several college degrees. A Bachelors of Teaching, Masters of Teaching, and a Masters of Business & IT. He had a very strong work ethic. He worked at Qual Med in Pueblo, CO for 4 years and for Presbyterean Healthe Care Services for 26 years in Alburqurque, NM.


Charles and his wife Elsie were married for 30 years. He was a very loving husband to her. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Rocky Ford. Charles always had a willingness to help and teach others when they needed it. He had been clean & sober for 36 years and inspired others to follow.


Charles is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elsie Klein of the Rocky Ford home; Daughter, Sarah (Anthony) Greenbank of Caddoa, CO; sons, Charles Gist and Nicholas Klein; 6 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren; twin sisters, Karen Cravens of Chula Vista, CA and Karol Klein of Maricopa, AZ; brothers, Jim (Janet) Klein of McKinney, TX and Robert Klein of Las Vegas, NV; aunt, Leota Ehlers of Pueblo, CO; cousins, George Ehlers of Limon, CO; Drew (Carl) Spinuzzi of Pueblo, CO; Scott (Louann) Ehlers of Colorado Springs, CO; Marsha (Buddy) Estelle of Florida; and Kevin (Melissa) Klein of Allen, TX; numerous nieces & nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis, Jr. & Doris Klein.


Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at The Rocky Ford Church of the Nazarene in Rocky Ford, CO.


Memorial donations can be made to Lower Arkansas Valley Non-Medical Transportation (LAV-NEMT) or Lower Arkansas Valley Area Agency on Aging (LAVAAA) at, 13 W. 3rd Street Rm. 110; La Junta, CO 81050.
