Christine Theresa Gonzales

Christine Theresa Gonzales of La Junta, CO entered into rest to be with the Lord in Heaven on May 15, 2021 at UC Health in Colorado Springs. She was born on August 29, 1955 in Denver, CO. She was 65 years of age.

She was survived by husband Charlie Esparza. Children, Jessica Esparza, of La Junta, CO, Lynette Nino of Morgan Hill, CA, Andy Nino of Los Banos, CA. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jryis and Marcellus Rael of Colorado, Demetrius, Sabrina, Isaiah Cabrera, Sophia, Andy, Jeanette Nino of California. She is survived by her brother, Lawrence Gonzales; sisters, Margie (John) Gonzales, Patsy (Bob) Lewis, Arlene, Irene, all of Denver, Bernice Oliveres, Gloria (Tip) Medina of La Junta.

She was preceded in death by brothers Rick, Carl, Louie, and Henry. Sisters Betty, Gladys, & Shirley and brother-in-law Carmel Oliveres.

Our Mother Chris enjoyed showing her love for her grandchildren. She touched many hearts working with the children for many years at the local La Junta schools. She enjoyed her arts and crafts, music, being out and about. Chris our mother will never leave our minds, nor will she ever leave our hearts. We will miss you and we Love you so much!!!!!!

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Victor Raj officiating.
