Corina Abeyta

Corina Abeyta, 71, of La Junta passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo. A viewing for the family was held on Saturday. At Corina’s request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Corina was born on June 14, 1939 in Rocky Ford to Juan & Delfina (Quintana) Abeyta. She lived in Rocky Ford before moving to Chicago. She worked in food service. She also was a member of the Catholic Church.
Corina was survived by her sons, Domingo (Faye) Abeyta of La Junta; Joseph Martinez of Chicago; daughters, Ruby (Dave) Gomez of Denver; Rosales Hurtado of San Bernadino, CA; sisters, Linda (Al) Gonzales of Fowler; Rita Abeyta of La Junta; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Fritz Abeyta and sister, Susie Pantoya.
