Cynthia Marie Medina

Cynthia Marie Medina, 50, passed away on February 28, 2022, at her La Junta home. She was born on August 7, 1971, to Jose Horacio & Cynthia May (Bowen) Medina in La Junta.

Cynthia “Huey” was a very lovable caring person with a big heart and the most beautiful smile. She showed compassion for everyone and loved her family unconditionally. She was an avid music listener and loved to sing and dance every chance she had. She was her mother's protector, best friend and even though they will be apart we know she will be watching over her and always remain in her heart.

She is survived by her mother, Cynthia M. Medina of La Junta; siblings, Viola Cecilia Medina of La Junta; Jose Horacio (Maria Isabella) Medina, Jr. of Rocky Ford; Mary Helen (Edward Lloyd Klusner) Medina of La Junta; Christopher Benny (Dayna Rhae) Roybal-Medina of La Junta; Donnie Charles (Jamie Renae) Rodriguez-Medina of La Junta; goddaughter, Mercedes Taelynne Bernal; nine nephews and 10 nieces also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Horacio Medina, Sr. and nephew, Michael Anthony Cable.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, March 11, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Victor Raj officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
