Debra Mae Buhrle, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on September 28, 2025, in Pueblo, Colorado, due to complications from a car accident. Born on December 9, 1958, in Monte Vista, Colorado, Debra was a vibrant spirit who enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A devoted Certified Nursing Assistant for many years, Debra exemplified compassion and care in her profession, finding joy in helping others. Her dedication extended beyond her career; she was known for her immense love for her family and her passions in life. Debra cherished the time spent with her husband, Everett, at their home in Sugar City. Together, they created a sanctuary filled with laughter and warmth.

She took great delight in sharing adventures with her sons, Justin William Franklin Buhrle of Ordway, Colorado, and Leland James Buhrle, alongside his wife Joely, of Kim, Colorado. Debra’s grandchildren brought immeasurable pride and happiness into her life, Bryann Lynn, Joseph (Jenna) Leland, Emmalee Lynn, Charlee Mae Jean, and Juaquine Buhrle. The joy of her heart swelled even more with the arrival of her great-grandsons, Joseph Dean and Hunter Max Buhrle, whose laughter echoed in the cherished moments they spent together.

Debra's passions extended beyond her family. She found solace and happiness in her horses and fishing, where she felt most alive in the embrace of nature. Her memories of these simple yet profound moments will be held dear by her loved ones as they draw strength from her spirit.

Educated at Saguache and Moffett Schools, Debra carried with her the lessons learned and friendships made along the way. She is survived by her beloved mother, Patricia Graves, and her brothers, Jim (Theresa), Frank, Jesse (Toni), and Charles Graves, who shared in both her joys and trials.

She leaves behind a legacy infused with love; countless family members and friends continue to hold her memory close. Debra was preceded in death by her father, Charles Graves, whose absence she has now reunited with in eternal peace.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on October 10, 2025, at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta, Colorado, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Hicks of the Arkansas Valley Hospice officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather and share stories, honoring a woman who touched their hearts and left an indelible mark on their lives.
