Douglas Lee Kathol

Douglas Lee Kathol, 65, passed away on July 10, 2019 at the Bent County Healthcare Center in Las Animas. He was born on December 9, 1953 to Dennis & Doris (Tuttle) Kathol in Hartington, Nebraska.

Douglas was a fishing guide and gave guides down the Gunnison River. He enjoyed anything outdoors which included fishing, camping, and hunting. He was a great machinist and co-owned his machine shop. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He even took his two brothers and their families and his mother deep sea fishing off the Florida Coast.

He is survived by his siblings, Denise (Tom) Sattler of Illinois; Derek (Gail) Kathol of Brighton, CO; Deanna Kathol, Damian Kathol and Delray Nagel all of Englewood, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis & Doris Kathol.

As per Douglas’s request cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
