Eddie Gabriel Gutierrez, III, 46, passed away on August 5, 2021 at his home in La Junta. He was born on December 16, 1974 in La Junta to Eddie Gabriel & Martha (Chaparro) Gutierrez, II.
He went to OJC for their Cisco Program in IT. He worked for AVRMC in the IT Tech department for 10 years. Eddie enjoyed riding motorcycles, skateboarding, snowboarding, being outdoors, and camping and big bon fires. He also enjoyed knife and ax throwing, painting and drawing. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved spending time and being around his family and loved ones.
He is survived by his children, Natasha Gutierrez of Rocky Ford; Eddie Gutierrez, IV of Pueblo; father, Eddie (Veronica) Gutierrez, II of La Junta; siblings, Robin (Adolph) Martinez of La Junta; Timothy (Amber) Gutierrez of La Junta; Lori Ann (Ron) Jones of Pueblo; grandchildren, Kenzie & Kenleigh Ornelas and Emma Moronez; nieces & nephews, Christopher Gutierrez, Mark & Nathaniel Martinez, Keeley & Lily Gutierrez and Madison Gutierrez; great-nieces & nephews, Davian & Nathaniel Martinez, Zaileana & Aubriella Martinez, Cora & Zachariah Gutierrez; special family friend, April Cihura; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Gutierrez; grandmother, Caroline Gutierrez; grandparents, Richard & Mary Chaparro.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, August 13, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Victor Raj officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
