Edward Eugene Thompson

Edward Eugene Thompson, 73, passed away on May 25, 2018 at his Ordway home. He was born on July 18, 1944 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Clarence E. & Elsie P. (Ellis) Thompson.

Edward was a Vietnam Vet. He worked at the Chemical Depot for many years. He enjoyed having a good time with his friends and neighbors. He was a god fearing man and a good soldier. If you had him as a friend then you were lucky. He was a member of the Ordway VFW, Post #336.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Johnson of Colorado Springs; brother, Robert (Hilda) Thompson of Tennessee; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Paula Thompson.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ft. Lyon National Cemetery with Pastor John Dell of the First Christian Church of Rocky Ford officiating.
