Frances C. Aragon

Frances C. Aragon, 88, La Junta, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026. She was born on August 21, 1938, in Pueblo, Colorado to Antonia & Jose Moreno. Frances was a nurture and lived a life filled with love, service, and dedication to her family and community.

Frances greatest joys was her family and spending time with her growing family. She shared a lifetime of love with her husband, Ernesto “Ernie” Aragon until his passing in February 2003. Frances is survived by her children; Carla Valdez of La Junta, Colorado, Carlos Aragon Sr. of La Junta, Colorado, Mark Aragon Sr. of La Junta, Colorado & Keith Aragon (Toni) of Ft. Collins, Colorado; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and god children; Frances was one of 12 children, and is survived by her siblings, Joe “Jay” (Mary Lou) Moreno, Rey (Terri) Moreno, Mary Ester (Jose) Gonzales, Jolene (Dan) Hyatt & Tom Moreno.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto “Ernie” Aragon; parents, Antonia & Jose Moreno; daughter-in-law, Carol Aragon; great granddaughter, Jaycee Balicki, Brothers, Dennis, Victor, Richard & James Moreno and sisters, Dora Aceves & Antonia “Toni” Whatley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe/ St. Patrick Parish Church followed by the Mass of Chrisitan Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jay Gapayao of Our Lady of Guadalupe/ St. Patrick Parish officiating. Internment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in La Junta, Colorado.
