Gerald L. Attebery

Gerald L. Attebery Sr., 86, passed away on May 17, 2017 at his Sugar City home. He was born on May 30, 1930 in North Platte, NE to Howard Clay & Gladys Mabel (Chapp) Attebery.

Gerald was honorably discharged by the Army and Navy. He fought in Korea at Heartbreak Ridge in 1950-1951. He was a fireman in the U.S. Navy. He retired from WAPPA Department of Energy in 1990 as a Engineering Draftsman.

He is Survived by his wife of 64 years, Dora Marie Attebery, his four kids; Rose, Kathy, Sue, and Jerry; 7 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Graveside memorial service will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017, 1:00 p.m., at Ft. Lyon National Cemetery with the Rocky Ford Rifle Team, American Legion Post #8 performing Military Honors.
