Isidoro “Homer” Alvidres, 29, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, in Pueblo, Colorado surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 28, 1996, in La Junta, Colorado to Monze Sr.& Lucy Garcia.
He was always going fishing with his family, playing games with his friends and family. Homer enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Homer loved spending time with his daughter Nevaeh. She was his pride and joy. He loved his Denver Broncos and always enjoyed watching the games. Homer was a loving guy and loved making new friends. He was easy to get along with. Any time he heard music playing you could always find him dancing.
Isidoro is survived by his daughter Nevaeh Gordon-Alvidres; mother, Lucy Garcia; siblings, Jessica Alvidres; & Stephanie (Cruz) Molina; Isabelle (Adrian Armijo) Alvidres; he is also survived by his aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Monze Alvidres, Sr.; brother, Monze Alvidres, Jr.; grandparents, Ramona & Joe Garcia; & Gavina & Isidoro Alvidres; aunts, Connie Vasquez & Molly Garcia; uncle, Rudy Martinez, Sr.; and nephew, Angel Alvidres.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Both services at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Las Animas, CO, with Father Jay Gapayao officiating. Interment to follow at Bent County Cemetery in Las Animas.
