Jack Lewis Leplatt
January 19, 1944 — February 15, 2023
Jack Lewis LePlatt, 79, of Ordway, passed away on February 15, 2023 at the Crowley County Nursing Center in Ordway. He was born on January 19, 1944, to Herbert & Mabel (Boren) LePlatt.
He grew up in La Junta and attended La Junta high school. He had a history of electric jobs including jockey, ranch hand, pickle factory worker and line cook.
Jack was a great cook, an avid fisherman (he always caught the most and the biggest fish) and a jokester. He always had a faithful dog as his best friend and sidekick.
He is survived by his two daughters and one son, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Russell; brothers, Herb LePlatt and Ben Davis.
Graveside service will be held September 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in La Junta.
