Jesus F. Pulido, 84, passed away on October 13, 2019 at his La Junta home. He was born on June 26, 1935 in Durango, Durango Mexico to Salvador & Aurora (Franco) Pulido. He married Annie Aragon on March 20, 1978 in Las Animas, Colorado; she preceded him in death on February 12, 2001.
He worked at Dean Pickle, where he had an accident and retired after 18 years. He had his two favorite pets Antonio and Paloma, who stayed by his side always. He loved and enjoyed spending time with each and every one of his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards or Loteria, also enjoyed dancing and singing, He always had a certain nickname for each and every person he met. He was a very happy jolly man who loved everyone and when he told you he loved you he meant it. You can never forget his high pitched “I LOVE YOU TOO!” voice with smirk and laugh to follow right after. He will be missed dearly be everyone.
He is survived by his sister, Gloria (Jesus) Rodriguez; sons, Manuel Pulido, Miguel Soto, Pablo (Felipa) Soto, Antonio Soto, Sonny Salazar, Mike Salazar; daughters, Maria de Jesus (Feliberto) Pulido, Maria Roario Pulido, Esther Soto, Ernestine Gonzales, Rita (Desi) Apodaca, Josie Perez, Patty (Albert) Davis, Valerie (Steve) Salazar, Theresa Nava, Stephanie Salazar, and Mona (Johnny) Anaya; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Frank Salazar; sisters, Francisca Pulido, Esperanza Pulido, Lydia Pulido, and Manuela Pulido.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Henry Wertin officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
