Karen Elizabeth Dellinger

Karen E. Dellinger, 84, of Rocky Ford, Colorado passed away peacefully at her home on July 16, 2026. She was born on December 25, 1941, in Great Bend, Kansas to Harry & Matilda “Tilly” (Leikam) Harwood. She married J.C. Dellinger on June 28, 1959, and they resided in La Junta until 1986 when they moved to Rocky Ford and bought the farm where her grandparents lived.

Growing up, Karen loved her horse, Princess. This love for horses lasted her entire lifetime. Karent was a homemaker and also had a dog groom business. She loved to crochet and enjoyed making baby blankets for her grandkids.

Karen is survived by her husband, J.C. Dellinger of the Rocky Ford home; children, Karey (Buddy) Mueller, Harley (Jill) Dellinger and Georgia Dellinger; grandchildren, Addison Mueller, Nathan (Emily) Mueller, Amanda (Evans) Fenty, Nina (Devon) Higgins, Brittani (Jared) Cass, Brett (Sylvia Escobedo) Dellinger, Craig Weaver, Chad Weaver and Katie (Sterling) Martson; Great-grandchildren, Kate, Kaylee & J.T. Mueller, Spencer, Shane, Sammy, Summer & Sophie Fenty, Aiden & Abigail Cass, Harlen Dellinger, Conner Weaver, Cooper Weaver, Charlotte Weaver, Sterling Jr., Charlie, Corey and Clayton Martson.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Tilly & Harry Harwood, sister, Claudette Berry and grandson, Brandon Dellinger.

Per the family’s requests, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
