Karen Kay Edmunds Anderson, 72, passed away on Oct. 17, 2021 at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born on Apr. 25, 1949 in Stratton, Colorado to Maryld & Evelyn (Gouge) Edmunds. She married Dewey E. Anderson on April 5, 1977.
Karen is survived by her husband, Dewey of the La Junta home; daughter, Sherri A. Powers of Texas; sons, Michael S. (Rebecca) Anderson of Tennessee; Nathan E. (Joanne) Anderson of New Hampshire and Kyle J. (April) Anderson of Colorado; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Darwin Edmunds of Kansas; Daryl (Pearl) Edmunds of Arizona; Clifford (Veronica) Edmunds of Utah; Phyllis McDonald of Utah and Alvin Edmunds of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maryld & Evelyn Edmunds, and daughters, Penni L. Powers & Jolene K. Anderson.
Graveside services will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in La Junta.
