Lawrence E. Hammitt

Lawrence E. Hammitt, 81, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 at La Junta home. At his request there will be no services.
He was born in Bayfield, Colorado on April 26, 1928 to Walter Abner & Ida (Van Dyke) Hammitt.  He married Wanda West on July 11, 1947; she preceded him in death on March 5, 2006.
He is survived by his children, Suzanne (Les) Anderson of La Junta, Ginger (Sam) Denton of Kim, CO, Jo Hansen of Washington, Mike (Connie) Hammitt of Cimarron, NM, and Katie Hammitt of La Junta.  Grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
