Never Forgotten

  • I remember your smile,
  • How you shine so bright.
  • I didn’t see the pain inside,
  • You hid with all your might.

  1. I know the pain became too much to bear,
  2. I know you tried to see.
  3. But the darkness hid you in a shadow,
  4. As immovable as a tree.

  5. On the day you left,
  6. A piece of my heart went too.
  7. But I bask in each new dawn.
  8. Because now I live for me and you.
