Leroy R. Coram

LeRoy Ray Coram, 74, passed away February 25, 2015 at his La Junta home. He was born on December 18, 1940 in Brookfield, Missouri to Alton & Vera (Jones) Coram. He married Barbara Karr on January 21, 1966 in La Junta, Colorado; she preceded him in death on February 8, 2008.


He attended Otero Junior College. He worked for NIBCO and worked at the Colorado Boys Ranch as a Night Watchman.


He is survived by his daughters, Kathryn (Steve) Irvin of Garden City, KS, Letha Marriott of Wheatridge, Colorado; son, John H. (Cathy) Coram of Penrose, Colorado; grandchildren, Luke and Kaia Marriott, Christopher, Hannah & Zachary Coram, Bradley, KayeLani & Brevin Irvin; great-grandson, Noah. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister & brother.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.



Funeral services will be Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors by the Rocky Ford Rifle Team, American Legion Post #8.
