Luella M. Markus

Luella M. Markus, 75, passed away on August 6, 2018 at Parkview Medical Center. She was born on March 24, 1943 in Rupert, Idaho to Paul & Lola (Barksdale) Messenger. Luella enjoyed jewelry making and crafts.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Schurr of Ordway, CO, Paul Waldroupe of Walsenburg, and Joanne Markus of La Junta; granddaughter, Shandi Waldroupe of La Junta; brother, William (Lovea) Messenger of Pueblo, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews survive. Luella was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Verlin Messenger, and her grandson, Thomas Waldroupe Johnson.

A graveside memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View Cemetery in Ordway with Pastor Jeb Brown of the River of Life Fellowship officiating.
