Nancy June Compton

Nancy "Bugs" June Compton, 85, passed away April 8, 2016 at her home in Pueblo.  Nancy was born on July 2, 1931 to James & Elsie (Headrick) Harris in Asher, Oklahoma.
 
Nancy was Ms La Junta High, sophomore, junior and senior Homecoming Queen, President of the La Junta Golf Club Women's Assoc., Member of the Red Hat Society, loved to travel, garden, and read. Nancy loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
 
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William "Bill" Compton of the Pueblo home; children, Linda Compton, William "Gregg" Compton and Paul Compton; grandchildren, Toni Lyons, Janay Compton, Beth Compton, Kyle Compton, Lynn Compton, Hannah Compton, Nathan Compton; great-granddaughter, Grace Carter.  Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, siblings, Warren Harris, James Harris, Lee Harris.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. There will be a reception following the service at the La Junta United Methodist Church.
